Superb memoir of a Kiwi car enthusiast who came to Europe and worked for Cooper as Jack Brabham's F1 mechanic, them on to join Bruce McLaren when he formed his own F1 and sports car team, helping his win Grands prix, win at Le Mans in the GT40, dominate the CanAm series for years and win at the Indy 500. Finally after Bruce's death he was Denny Hulme and Emerson Fittipaldi's enginer in the Marlboro McLaren F1 carts of the mid 1970s.
Great book with all the heros of the day featuring ; Graham Hill, John Surtees, Peter Revson, Jackie Setwart, Dan Gurney etc etc.
