First introduced in 1905, Sub-titled: "An Encyclopaedia of Motoring". This Volume was issued annually for the Motorist, as the essential aid for travelling. In very much the same way as the A.A & R.A.C. handbooks of later years, but in altogether more magnificent style & content with around 600 pages of text including some wonderful period adverts for motor-freindly hotels and garages. A delightful item and perhaps a fine accessory for a VCC member to reside on the back seat  of a suitable Edwardian car? In generally poor condition even for its age . It's leather bound and the leather has dried.split and cracked at the seams and edges . The front cover is partly detatched and andthough it's tuck-in flap at the back is still attached, if a little fragile and the  small compas originally set into the top of this flap  is missing. Inside the back cover is a pouch which would have contained a linen-backed road map of Great Britain when originally issued but this is missing. The binding is boor, slack and fragile. Priced to reflect all this general trauma.
