Travels in an early C.G.V. car that took M. Mirbeau on his European Tour around 1907-08 , in the capable hands of his chauffeur, 'Brossette'. The events of that memorable journey are related in the translation of the French original journal & complimented by the sketches of his friend & artist, Bonnard. A quick flick through these sketches will give you a good idea that M. Mirbeau enjoyed not only the pleasures of the road, but also those to be found inside the various Hotel bed chambers encountered En Route.. ahem! All very Bohemian... 175 pages including the 104 sketches. The book is in very good condition as is its jacket. There is a dedication on the front endpaper, which could be from the publisher.
