144 page hardback charting a succession of such aircraft of all nationalities, planned and in some cases built and tested, right from early days, but mostly from the 1940s onwards including the DeHavilland DH 108, the Horton Ho IX and Northrop XB49 - in some cases they became production aircraft like the B2 stealth bomber. Many of these are (often quite fanciful ) paper projects, illustrated by artwork and plans but the a machines that were actually constructed are, where possible, shown in period photos .
