239 page 1970 biography by the legendary motor sport's author Joe Scalzo who's lurid descriptive, visceral style is unmatched !

Gary Nixon was a star of the tough and lucrative AMA  'flat track' ; scene that would later produce multiple 500cc World road racing champions (Kenny Roberts etc)
Nixon rose through the ranks, earned a factory ride, claimed the champion's #1 plate on flat tracks  in 1967 & 68. In road racing he raced a works Triumph in the Daytona 200 and won 1967 race,  he also won the Fuji GP in Japan and at the time of the book's publication was still only halfway through a career that woould take him  him to Europe and world championship success in the 1970s.
