History of the famous team and it's owner, whiskey magnate R R C Walker who raced pre-war and then entered cars for the likes of Tony Rolt and Eric Thompson in F1 before teaming up with Stirling Moss at the peak of his powers to become the only non-works team to win World Championship F1 races - both with Cooper and Lotus cars bought over-the-counter. Much of the book explains intelligently how the whole system ran back in the mid 1960s, stating money, bonuses from the likes of BP and Dunlop, the politics and the inherent risks. Excellent book on a long vanished way of life. 194 pages, this is the 1965 'Motoraces Book Club' edition which is slightly smaller format and has a more basic jacket design than the original.. V very good condition book, jacket as little discolouring on and around the spine, it's gone slightly darker from the sunlight
