.1996 hardback reissue of a British Intelligence Report conducted in Germany in the immediate post war days on the newly discovered VW (what we now call the Beetle) , it's design, production and future. Famously this led to the British Government being told the Beetle was of little commercial value and not worth all the effort of taking over as war reparations! It also includes a facsimilie of the report by the Rootes group in answer to this report... As such this represents a record of one of the great commercial / industrial blunders of all time! 137 pages. Fine except the top of the spine has been heavily bumped and so the top corner of all the pages is slightly creased in the same place.
