ON WHEELS (Michael Holroyd 2012)

A musing on cars and car memories by the noted biographer who weaves his own car-history among the car related antics of famous names he encountered from the ages George Bernard Shaw who instsited on taking the wheel despite barely being strong enough to turn it, and 'society' sensation Vita Sackville West behaving  "indiscreetly" in the front seat of her motor in the middle of 1920s London.... Only 103 pages but very amusing. Fine condition book and jacket.
