Famous "Beat novel"  tracing the many cross-America road trips of the characters Sal Paradise and his mad sidekick Dean Moriarty , a pair of Beatnik drifters set on changing the world but with no idea of how to go about it - so they travel back and forth by car, rail and on foot, sometime hitching a lift in a New Cadillac or a beaten up old Ford hot rod while working for, scrounging and stealing enough ready cash to keep the gas tank full and the latest young lady in the back seat plies with cheap booze as they venture from one jazz joint to another. ... yes I have read this one, as you might have guessed. It's entertaining once you get the hang of it's free-form style of narrative. Good condition but well read paperback
