Maserati A6GSC Mike Sparken, Silverstone 1954 Gilby Car

In this shot the famous Maserati A6GCS which Roy Salvadori normally raced in being driven by French privateer 'Mike Sparken'. The car was raced widely in British events for owner Sid Green of Gilby Engineering at the time. Sparken was at the wheel on this ocassion as Salvadori was racing a factory team Aston Martin.Roy was 2nd in the race, Sparken a distant 17th.
