Onofre Marimon in his works team Maserati 250F alongside amateur entrant Leslie Marr in his Connaught A Type at the 1954 British GP, Silverstone.
Marimon, a highly rated Argentine was a works Maserati driver for just 11 GP's in 1953-4 before his death at the German GP two weeks after this photo was taken. He finished 3rd in the British GP behind the works Ferrari's of Gonzalez and Hawthorn.
Marr is a noted artist who raced largely for fun in the mid 1950s. This was his only world championship GP finish (13th) with the already outdated F2 Connaught A Type.
