144 page hardback charting a succession of ever more elaborate and technically ambitious aircraft planned and in some cases built and tested prior to the end of WW2 - mostly paper projects and plans, illustared by artwork and plans but the actual machines that were actually constructed are, where possible, shown in period photos so you have the 4 engined Dornier Do19 , canceled after over 80 test flights, the Junkers Ju390, cancelled in 1944 after a single prototype had flown and the jet powered Ju287 flown in 1944 but still not cleared for production by the war's end. Fascinating stuff. Very good condition book and jacket.
