Taken at Monza in 1969 at the chicane onto the banking, during the 1000kms race on April 25th (thanks to Marco Porrini for the details)
Wicky was a regular entrant in sports cars racing during the 60s and 70s, mostly with Porsches and ran at Le Mans every year from 1966-75. He also entered several non championship F1 races with a Lotus 24 and Cooper T53 between 1961 and 1967 and ran once for Scuderia Filipinetti in the Meditaranian GP at Enna in 1963.
This photo has been recently printed in a commercial photo lab using the latest equipment and materials from the original 35mm colour slide.
