The book was produced to coincide with the Centenary of the First Lanchester Car. It represents Vol. 1 of a trilogy and covers the compamny's car production throughout Veteran, Edwardian & Vintage days. Lanchester was always an innovator, creating numerous ways of doing somthing that we now take for granted (the thruttle pedal being one) and this resulted in a mass of patents for car design which kept the idiosyncratic maker alive untill the merger with Dailmer in the 50s. .Large format, 279 pages with many fine photos the book and its jacket are in very good condition.
