Nice paddock shot of Ian Stewart in the Ecurie Ecosse Jaguar C Type sports racing car JWS 353 at Turnberry circuit in Scotland, August 1952 where it was 3rd overall in the sports car event that included works Jaguar driver Stirling Moss having a guest run in Michael Head's C Type.

This car, chassis XKC 006, was the first C Type run by Ecosse and owned by Ian Stewart from new. In 1952 it won the Jersey road race and other races at Crimmond, Charterall, The Curragh, Goodwood and Castle Combe. in 1953 with fellow Scot Ninian Sanderson at the wheel it won at Charterhall, Ibsley,Silverstone and Snetterton. Sir James Scott-Douglas also raced it before it was sold to Hans Davids in Holland and won more races.

Ecosse was run by David Murrey a former Grand Prix driver and won Le Mans two years running with Jaguar D Types in 1956 and 1957. Many great drivers raced for the team including Jackie Stewart's older brother Jimmy and Jaguar works driver Ivor Bueb (1955 Le Mans winner with Hawthorn).
