The exotic Alfa Romeo 2.9 of which fewer than 40 chassis's were built before the war put a stop to things, boasted the kind of position in late 1930s motoring as the Bugatti Veyron has in the early 21st century. It was the ultimate high speed, high-quality road car of it's day. Author Simon Moore is the acknowledged expert on the 8C (and subsequently produced an equally lavish sequel to this book on the smaller and more numerous 2.3 ) The 2.9 book is large format tome of 251 pages packed with wonderful technical historic and period racing photos, covering the cars chassis by chassis title has become vastly collectible and it's value has risen steeply since publication in 1986. Rare in the Extreme. Book and jacket both in very good condition. Not mint as the previous owner has obviously read this one as intended, so there are just those signs of use and of being on a shelf.
