German book whose title translates to THE GREATEST DRIVERS OF YESTERDAY and each chapter profiles those drivers who's careers were at their peak pre 1950 , so you have the inevtiable Caracciola and Rosemeyer (along with the other pre-eminent 'Silver Arrows' drivers) but also less familiar choices like Brilli-Peri, Fagioli, Trossi, Sommer and Bira. . It's a sidestep from the normal 'great drivers' selection and all the more interesting as a result. a lot of unfamiliar photos used, which is always a bonus. Very good clean condition. book, the jacket has some edge wear and a couple of repaired splits along the top and bottom edges
