Lovely albums of quality photos from the Getty Library charting the history of the motor car to the 1960s in a selection of PICTURE POST or TIME style period photos  on the motor car in everyday life, war, traffic, production, competition. A classis sit-and-browse kind of book with the cover photo of an American car of the early 50s on an endless, deserted  straight road which sums it up. Very appealing.
