Highly rated study of the larger road-going Bugattis, the type one would have as a sporting saloon on the Riviera in the late 20s and early 30s. Gorgeously designed cars with a exotic 4.9 litre straight 8 overhead cam engine, typically elegant chassis and coach built bodies, to the customers own specifications . They did also race them at Le Mans and other events in the early and mid 30s, but mostly these were elgant road cars. Masses of photos illustrating the dizzying variations of bodies and style that were applied art the time and a factory log of the original 500 odd cars built, chassis numbers, coachwork etc. 144 large pages, very good clean book, jacket likewise but a little shelf rubbed just taking the shine off the paper a little.
