Heartfelt biography of the New Zealand who was, for many years the youngest man to win a world championship Grand Prix, which he did in 1959 in the USA for Cooper. Bruce went on to more Grand Prix victories for Cooper in the early 60s, was instrumental in testing and developing the Ford GT40 , winning Le Mans in 1966 in the process. He founded his own team around the same time, quickly won F1 Grands Prix, dominated the big-buck Can Am series from 1967 onwards and gave jobs to a great many fellow Kiwi mechanics and drivers who went on to populate the worlds great racing teams for several decades thereafter. Sadly at the age of just 33 Bruce was killed in a freak testing accident at Goodwood in 1970 and author Eoin Young, one of his closest friends and not only a journalist but a director of McLaren, and a fellow Kiwi, recounts his story here.

215 pages. Hardback. Very good book and jacket, aside from a small repaired rip along the top front edge
