The event was the one and only Scottish GP and Tyrer was an entry along with a diverse assortement of racing and sports cars. He finished 2nd to Fotheringham-Parker's Maserati 4CL/T. The BRM that had been entered didn't turn up...neither did several other Maseratis and ERAs.
