German edition of actor Rauch's memoir of filming the epic motor racing movie LE MANS in 1970 with Hollywood legend Steve McQueen and a host of actual racing drivers driving real Gulf Porsche 917s and Ferrari 512S race cars at the Le Mans circuit itself. A notorious movie for it's protracted and fraught production , McQueen being not only star but owner of the production company and deeply obsessed with getting it 'right' ... Rauch played his chief rival and the pair became friends so the story elaborates on that up to McQuuens early death and features a host of wonderful background photos from the shoot and reproduced original letters from Steve and so forth. 210 large pages, fantastics photos, very good condition book and jacket. The UNSER of the title does not relate to the famous Indy 500 racing family, the English translation is OUR LE MANS
