The story of t South African racer Paddy Driver who moved from national event to racing in the 'continental circus' in Europe in the late 50s moving upward to Moto GP where he finished 3rd behind Hailwood and Agostini in the 1965 500cc world championship and then switched to cars and raced in the then popular South African F1 series, sports car, saloon and so forth , peaking with a drive in a Lotus 72 in the 1974 South African GP . His career went on into the 80s and this book is a huge 800 page celebration of the man, his career(s) and memories of and by those around him from Brian Redman and Kork Ballington to David Pioper and Freddie Spencer. The book is a thick, heavy softback and hundreds of photos, reproduced newspaper headline, track maps and other material. Very rare outside of South Africa and absolutely fascinating! Very good clean condition.
