John Jordan's  Lola , much campaigned in the 1980s by Tony Trimmer was initially chassis T330-HU6, a 1973 chassis raced by Trevor Twaites and Breden McInnerney in European F5000 and after Jordan aquired it a year later, by Tom Belso in the Shellsport 5000/Group 8 series . Sometime between the end of 85 and the start of 88 it was retubbed using a chassis known as "HU42" which was actually an ex Brian Redman T332 chassis used in the US and not given a normal chassis number at that time...

HU6 first appeared at Combe driven by American Dave Williams in May 1983 and promptly won the Libre race then reappeared in 1984 with Tony who stuck with it into the mid 1990s winning the national Libre series in 86 and finishing runner up in 87 and 88 .

In July 1984 Trimmer broke the outright lap record at Combe which had stood since the European F5000 series had made a race appearance at the track in 1970.  the fact it then retired with  suspension failure hardly mattered, it was job done and a memorable day!

It ran in most of the Combe Libre events winning in July 1985, May 1986, October 1987 and (with chassis HU42) August and October 1988 - which I think was it's last appearance?

The original HU6 tub was sold to racing car dealer Kevan McLurg in around 2005 and last heard of with Brett Willis in New Zealand being rebuilt in 2008.
