Roger Orgee traded in his long-serving Lyncar for a car with serious pedigree, the March which won the first F3000 series for Christan Danner. He won the August 87 race at Combe but the car was a serious handfull over the bumps and struggled to hold on to Trimmer's old Lola T330. At one point in the 1988 season Roger sustained a neck injury and - according to the commentary- Roger's wife insisted that he put someone else in the car to give himself chance to recover. That someone was ex Grand Prix and F5000 driver Mike Wilds who took part in the October 1988 race(below right) and enjoyed/endured a lot of wild moments as the car and he disagreed about which direction it should be heading in over each undulation! Although he led initially, Trimmer's more manageable Lola T330 soon slipped past and took the win. The car was replaced by a 1988 Reynard for the 1989 season.
